Certified Professional Photographer Boon Yee Zhsin (Michael Boon) is the latest member of the Master Photographer’s Association (MPA) to be awarded their exclusive “Certified Professional” status in Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia. By submitting a comprehensive document detailing all of their business practices and systems, Michael has now joined an elite group of professional photographers worldwide who have been assessed by the MPA. The certification process involves an analysis of how MPA members deal with customers, and also checks to ensure that all the necessary health and safety policies are in place. By becoming a “Certified Professional Photographer”, Michael Boon Photography’s clients can be reassured that they will be looked after in a professional way. The MPA is the premier qualifying body for professional photographers in the UK and introduced the Certification scheme to protect the public against rogue photographers who operate without insurance or health and safety measures. Paul Cooper, MPA director of qualifications said “It’s difficult for the public to know if they are booking a professional photographer to cover important events as anyone can buy a camera and trade as a photographer.
